WILLISTON, South Carolina — Family, friends, and members of the Williston community are mourning the passing of David Gabriel “Gabe” Sadler, who died peacefully at his home on Monday, July 6, 2026, at the age of 28. Though his unexpected death has left loved ones heartbroken, they find comfort in their faith, believing Gabe is now at peace in the presence of Jesus.
Born in Augusta, Georgia, Gabe was the beloved son of David Kevin Sadler and Amanda Mundy Sadler. Throughout his life, he became known for his warm personality, infectious smile, quick wit, and unwavering kindness. Whether with family, friends, coworkers, or members of his church, Gabe had a remarkable ability to brighten the lives of those around him.
Above all else, Gabe was a devoted husband and father. He shared a loving marriage with his wife, Ashlee Davis Sadler, and together they built a home filled with love, laughter, and faith. His greatest joy in life was raising his daughters, Raelyn Grace Sadler and Harper Elizabeth Sadler. Friends and family say he treasured every moment spent with his girls, creating memories that will forever remain in their hearts.
Professionally, Gabe served as a Lab Analyst at Savannah River Site, where he earned the respect of coworkers through his dedication, reliability, and positive attitude. Outside of work, he was a faithful member of Winfield Heights Baptist Church, where his Christian faith remained a guiding force throughout his life.
Gabe also enjoyed spending time outdoors with his family and friends. He loved golfing, fishing, and cheering for his favorite sports teams, including the Atlanta Braves, Green Bay Packers, and South Carolina Gamecocks. His faithful dog, Cash, was a constant companion who brought him joy and comfort.
In addition to his wife and daughters, Gabe is survived by his parents, David Kevin Sadler and Amanda Mundy Sadler; his sister, Erica Sadler; his brothers, Ray (Chelsea) Youngblood and Kyle Sadler; his grandparents, Mary Alice (David) Barnette and Wanda Sadler; his in-laws, Rachael (Miles) Brant and Scott (Angela) Davis; grandparents-in-law Nancy and Murray Davis; brothers-in-law Robert (Katelyn) Davis and John (Sophia) Davis; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, coworkers, and cherished friends.
He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Gordon Mundy and Lavern Sadler.
As news of Gabe’s passing spread, heartfelt tributes have poured in from family members, friends, church members, and colleagues, all remembering a young man whose compassion, humor, and unwavering love for his family left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Funeral services celebrating Gabe’s life will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Folk Funeral Home Chapel in Williston, South Carolina, with Rev. Jamie Wooten officiating. Burial will follow at Williston Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will begin at 2:00 p.m., one hour before the service.
Although Gabe’s life ended far too soon, his legacy of faith, kindness, and unconditional love will continue through his family, the friendships he built, and the many lives he touched. He will be remembered as a devoted husband, loving father, faithful Christian, dedicated professional, and loyal friend whose memory will remain a blessing for years to come.
