
NEW HOLLAND, Pennsylvania — Family, friends, and members of the New Holland community are mourning the tragic and unexpected loss of Randal A. Stoltzfus, who died at the age of 19 following an accident in East Earl Township on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.
Randal’s sudden passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. Remembered for his kind heart, joyful personality, and genuine compassion, he touched countless lives during his young life and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, coworkers, and community.
Born in Honey Brook, Randal was the beloved son of Stevie Stoltzfus Jr. and Erma Beiler Stoltzfus. He shared a close bond with his family and was known for his caring nature, warm smile, and ability to make everyone feel welcome. Loved ones describe him as someone who brought happiness wherever he went and whose positive spirit left a lasting impression on everyone he met.
Randal was employed by King Family Roofing in Honey Brook, where he took pride in his work and earned the respect of those who worked alongside him. Outside of his career, he enjoyed spending time outdoors and had a passion for sports, particularly golf and volleyball. He also found satisfaction in lawn care, taking great pride in mowing grass and creating perfectly striped lawns that reflected his attention to detail and strong work ethic.
Friends remember Randal as an energetic and genuine young man who enjoyed life’s simple pleasures. Whether spending time with family, participating in sports, or lending a helping hand, he approached every day with enthusiasm and kindness.
He is survived by his parents and six siblings: Jennifer R. Miller and her husband, Lavon, of McConnelsville, Ohio; Andrea F. Fisher and her husband, Eric, of Honey Brook; Michael D. Stoltzfus of New Holland; Charlene G. Stoltzfus and her husband, Matt, of Parkesburg; Jessica D. Stoltzfus of New Holland; and Malisa R. Stoltzfus of New Holland. He is also survived by his grandparents, John and Elizabeth Smucker Beiler of Parkesburg, and Stevie and Annie Stoltzfus Stoltzfus of McVeytown.
Randal was preceded in death by his brother, Wendall L. Stoltzfus, whose memory remained close to the family’s heart.
As news of his passing spread, heartfelt tributes have poured in from relatives, friends, neighbors, and coworkers, all remembering a young man whose kindness, generosity, and joyful outlook enriched the lives of so many.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during viewings at Petra Church, 565 Airport Road, New Holland, on Sunday, July 12, from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and again from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A funeral service celebrating Randal’s life will be held at Petra Church on Monday, July 13, at 10:00 a.m., with interment to follow at West Haven Amish Mennonite Cemetery.
Although Randal A. Stoltzfus’ life ended far too soon, his legacy of kindness, hard work, and love for family will continue to inspire those who knew him. He will be remembered for the joy he brought into the lives of others, the friendships he built, and the lasting memories he leaves behind.
